Edwin Watson Partnership
Brand Development

Following the merger in 2002 of East Anglia's leading firms of Residential Estate Agents and Commercial Agents, Watsons and Percy Howes, MK were contracted to evaluate the branding and market positioning of the ensuing company.

Following independent market research MK created three brands to reflect the diverse business sectors the firms now addressed. A corporate brand, Edwin Watson Partnership was created to act as the keystone of professional services, from which would follow two sector specific brands, Percy Howes Commercial and Watsons Residential.

Key to the success of the exercise were the values that were attributed to each brand, reflecting the aspirations of both the firm and its customers in each sector. Watsons Residential, the high street brand, was positioned as friendly, approachable and a safe pair of hands whilst Percy Howes was positioned as hard nosed, no-nonsense, efficient and effective. The more academic, Edwin Watson Partnership brand was positioned as knowledgeable, informed, professional, trustworthy and having a long and established pedigree.

In 2008 the Edwin Watson Partnership and its subsidiary brands remain East Anglia's leading property professionals with seven high street branches and a professional services and commercial agency headquarters. MK continues to be retained to provide strategic and support services.
