In 2006 Zanotti SpA, the world's third largest manufacturer of commercial and transport refrigeration units, created through acquisition a UK manufacturing arm called Hubbard Products. Zanotti had experienced previous bad press relations with the UK trade press and needed a true and fair representation of its expansion plans in the UK.

MK proposed a campaign of open media communication with stakeholders and customers. MK produced a press statement for immediate release to all staff and trade press announcing the acquisition and plans for investment. A further trading statement was produced at the year end for release to staff confirming the company's commitment and further investment in the UK operation. This was supported by a consolidated programme of trade press comment featuring new business gains and technical product developments, as well as tactical trade advertising.

Retention of existing business, good staff relations and new business gains in the eight months since acquisition has placed the UK division's performance towards the top of the group.
